Nyobrafting via Tubes / Kayaks on the Niobrara River in the Cody – Nenzel – Kilgore area.
Minimum group size is 5 persons.
Maximum group size is 14.
If your group is larger than 14, please call us. We can accommodate a larger group such as a family reunion or your youth group, but we need to visit with you about it.

Nyobrafting Excursions are by “Reservation Only”.

All Nyobrafting Excursions start at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 104 South Main Street, Nenzel, Nebraska.
The shuttle will return you the Knights of Columbus Hall after your Nyobrafting Excursion.
Please Note: By definition, walking is a part of the Nyobrafting Experience.
One double paddle for your Kayak.
One PFD (Personal Flotation Device).
Shuttle service to the Launch Site.
One Cooler Tube for every 5 Nyobrafters.
Trash / Litter bags for your Nyobrafting Excursion on the Niobrara River.
Shuttle Retrieval at the Pick Up Site.
Things To Do …….. Things To Bring
Apply sun block or sunscreen before and during your Nyobrafting Excursion.
Wear a cap, visor, or sunglasses to help shield your face from the sun. (A “securing retainer” such as a “Float Bob” is highly recommended for your glasses or sunglasses.)
All participants are required to wear securely fitted shoes (aqua shoes, tennis shoes, or river sandals with straps are recommended).
Flip Flops are NOT suitable nor recommended for Nyobrafting Excursions!!
Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.
Do NOT take Valuables!! Phones, watches, rings, jewelry, keys, etc. will sink and be lost forever.
Fences of all types (the most common is barbed wire) across the Niobrara River are legal in Nebraska. Be prepared to portage when encountering fences or any other obstacles that block your passage.
Watch for farm and ranch animals, wildlife, and insects. Remember, you are in their home!
Know the weather forecast.
Carry a First Aid Kit (make sure it is secured and in a water proof covering).
Dogs are allowed. You are assuming responsibility not only for their safety, but also for their behavior towards others.
All Nyobrafting Excursions include transportation to the Launch Site, Launching, approximately 3-4 hours of floating via Tubes or approximately 4-5 hours of floating via Kayaks, Retrieval, and Return Transportation to Nenzel.
Float times will vary depending on water levels and weather conditions.
